Blackstone Private Wealth was established to answer the growing demand for Blackstone products from high-net worth investors. Partnering with many of the world’s largest private banks and wealth management firms as well as family offices, Blackstone’s Private Wealth team packages and delivers the full breadth of Blackstone’s alternative product capability to these firms and their clients and provides ongoing product and advisor support, as well as education and training around alternatives.
This role will work on a variety of interesting and cutting-edge legal and general corporate matters, with a focus on the distribution and ongoing management of Blackstone’s European retail funds:
- Providing legal support on matters related to distribution channels and fundraising for Blackstone’s European retail funds.
- Leading the negotiation of distribution and feeder agreements with banks and wealth management firms (of varying sizes and across a broad spectrum of markets and jurisdictions) to distribute European retail funds to qualified individual investors.
- Working with the in-house Legal & Compliance team and external counsel to monitor and implement legal and regulatory developments that impact Blackstone’s European retail funds and their distribution.
- Providing regulatory and legal advice to investment professionals and business personnel.
- Be a creative problem solver with a can-do attitude.
- Possess the ability to be proactive in new situations and to independently manage projects to conclusion.
- Exhibit strong time and task management skills.
- Possess an interest in financial markets and legal processes with an ability to step in and work directly with stakeholders in the business.
