Blackstone’s Real Estate Debt Strategies Group (“BREDS”) provides capital solutions across the commercial real estate capital structure, focusing on the origination, acquisition, and active management of real estate debt investments globally. Analysts in BREDS gain hands-on exposure to the evaluation and execution of European real estate debt investments, working alongside investment professionals on live transactions across multiple asset classes and jurisdictions.

Analyst work may include:

  • New loan originations on behalf of BREDS’ opportunistic funds and mortgage trust
  • Acquisitions of legacy loans, CMBS, and other forms of public and private debt
  • Restructurings
  • Recapitalizations
  • Financial analysis and modeling
  • Market research
  • Competitive analysis
  • Developing investment committee presentations
  • Assisting in the execution of transactions
  • Drafting of memoranda for internal and external use
  • Helping develop and manage client and banking relationships
  • Liaising with the broader Real Estate Capital Markets team to drive business initiatives
  • Analyzing and modeling new strategic initiatives and business development opportunities for the BREDS business
