Program Overview
The 10‑week Summer Analyst Program provides full‑time, in‑person experience in Blackstone’s Real Estate Debt Strategies Group (BREDS). Participants gain exposure to capital solutions across the commercial real estate capital structure, including origination, acquisition, and active management of real estate debt investments worldwide.
Responsibilities
- New loan originations for BREDS’ opportunistic funds and mortgage trust
- Acquisitions of legacy loans, CMBS, and other public and private debt
- Restructurings and recapitalizations
- Financial analysis and modeling
- Market and competitive research
- Developing investment committee presentations
- Assisting in transaction execution
- Drafting memoranda for internal and external use
- Managing client and banking relationships
- Liaising with the Real Estate Capital Markets team on business initiatives
- Analyzing and modeling new strategic initiatives and opportunities for BREDS
