About Us and the role: The award-winning team at Blackstone solicitors are looking for individuals driven by wanting to make a difference for our clients, our employees, and our community. We are looking to recruit a qualified Commercial Litigation Solicitor to work in our growing Commercial Litigation team. With at least 5 years PQE, the ideal candidate will have good technical and procedural knowledge and an ability and desire to share it with, and support more junior members of the team. You will be joining a busy legal team dealing with high quality and high value work, and running a caseload of complex and varied commercial litigation matters, acting for national and international clients across all courts in England as well as other dispute resolution forums. We are a reputable law firm based in the UK with a dedicated team of 50+ staff members and growing, providing exceptional legal services to our clients.

The Commercial Litigation Solicitor role is a key component of the Commercial Litigation Team to provide the expertise needed to deliver a great and consistent service to our clients along with contributing to the overall happiness of our clients and the Commercial Litigation Team. You will report directly to the Partner/Head of Commercial Litigation and work alongside him to deliver a well-run, efficient Commercial Litigation Team, focusing on growth in respect of workloads and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adopting a tenacious approach to litigation by striving to obtain the best result for clients acting at speed and always promoting their best interests.
  • Diligent with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Delegate and then oversee work with junior members of the team.
  • Identify legal risks and advise clients, during the lifetime of their case, on their prospects and costs exposure.
  • Positively engage in networking opportunities.
  • Enthusiastic about maintaining high standards of client care.
  • Must be a strong tactical lawyer with excellent commercial skills.
  • Work closely with other teams in the firm, including real estate, corporate, and finance departments, to deliver integrated solutions to clients.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service delivery and effective communication, ensuring long-term client retention.
  • Adhering to clients’ respective SLA terms within the provided time frame.
  • Handling multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring that each is completed within the set deadline date in a professional manner.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise high volume caseloads in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of multiple ongoing cases.
