We are seeking a kind, compassionate and resilient Specialist Team Lead Support Worker to join our Learning Disability/Mental Health Supported Living service in the Sutton area. Working flexible hours between 25-40 hours per week. As we provide 24/7 support, you need to be able to work shifts, including weekends, some evenings and Bank Holidays.

The role of the Team Leader is to enable our service users to live freely on a daily basis, give support for autonomy, develop greater independence, meet the requirements of day-to-day utility and money management and fulfil lives. As part of your role, you will be required to work within the compliance, guidelines and policies of Blackstone Care, CQC regulations and our client's general needs, such as raising any safeguarding concerns and respecting the individual's privacy and confidentiality.
What you will do:
- Enable our residents to develop greater independence
- Promote personal growth
- Help develop new skills
- Assist with social activities and hobbies
- Provide emotional support
- Oversee all support planning and risk management plans
- Help with daily shopping tasks
- Provide practical support within the residence
- Enhance the skills of independent living
- Support with cooking, cleaning and washing
- Promote health, safety and well-being
- Support residents who are struggling with medication concordance
- Support people who are stepping down to more independence
Resident Management:
- Oversee and manage the general appearance of the residence
- Manage the residence rules and Blackstone Care residence policy
- Support to manage the residence's communal and personal areas
- Support with maintaining tenancies and utilities

Compliance:

- Minimum of two years experience in a residential setting
- Proof of identity
- A valid DBS/Update Service certificate will be required
- Induction training will be required
- Care Certificate is desirable, not essential
- Strong references
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
