Blackstone Recruitment are working with a client based near to Ipswich who are recruiting for a Registered Children\’s Home Manager on a permanent basis.

Job Title: Registered Children’s Home Manager

Location: North of Ipswich

Salary: from £42,000.00 per annum rising once registered with additional progression opportunities within the company.

Residential setting for children with various complex needs including LD and Autism (ASC)

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Schedule: Monday to Friday with on call and weekend availability

Our client are looking for a Registered Manager with experience in Learning Disabilities to oversee one of their amazing homes in the North of Ipswich. Candidates should hold or be willing to work towards a QCF/NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management and must have strong leadership experience in residential childcare.

In this role, you will lead and inspire your team, ensuring the children in your care receive the best support, strong role models, and a nurturing home environment. You will be supported by an experienced leadership team with extensive sector experience.

Key Responsibilities:

* Leadership & Management: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of support workers to deliver outstanding care. Foster a positive and supportive working environment.

* Compliance & Registration: Work with RI and wider team to ensure the home meets all regulatory requirements and quality standards.

* Operational Excellence: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services.

* Care: Develop and implement individualised plans for each young person, ensuring their needs are met and their well-being is prioritised.

* Engagement: Build strong relationships with families, external agencies, and the local community to support the home’s objectives.

* Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to improve service delivery, implement best practices, and ensure the home remains at the forefront of childcare excellence.

Requirements:

* Minimum 3 years’ experience in residential childcare

* At least 1 year in a management role

* NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young people’s Workforce

* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (desirable) or must be willing to work towards

* Knowledge and or experience of leading an Ofsted inspection (desirable)

* Strong organizational and communication skills, with a commitment to delivering high-quality care and compliance with regulatory standards

* Driver with business insurance (essential)

Work Location: This role requires an in-person presence at the home in the North of Ipswich.
