As Head of MFL, you will:

  • Lead, manage and inspire the MFL department across the academy
  • Drive high-quality teaching and learning from KS2-KS5
  • Develop and embed a rigorous, inclusive and engaging MFL curriculum
  • Use data effectively to raise achievement and close gaps
  • Promote languages through enrichment, extra-curricular opportunities and cultural capital

What we're looking for

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), experience teaching MFL in a secondary school
  • Proven ability to raise standards and improve outcomes
  • Confidence using assessment data to inform teaching and intervention
  • Strong leadership potential and commitment to inclusive practice

Ideally, you would also have

  • Experience teaching A Level
  • Postgraduate study or leadership development qualifications
