Location: North London

Salary: Β£30-40 per hour depending on experience

Contract: Temporary until April 2027 (Permanent options available)

Hours: Four days per week (Three considered)

Working Pattern: Term Time Only

Blackstone Recruitment is working with a specialist independent education provider to recruit an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist to join a well-established multidisciplinary clinical team in North London. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive education environment, delivering specialist occupational therapy assessments and interventions that enable children and young people to develop greater independence and achieve positive outcomes. You'll be joining a collaborative clinical team with access to regular supervision, ongoing CPD opportunities, specialist interest groups and a wider network of occupational therapy professionals.

The Role

  • Manage your own occupational therapy caseload within a specialist school.
  • Deliver comprehensive assessments and evidence-based interventions.
  • Support children and young people with neurodiversity, developmental trauma, learning difficulties and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
  • Work collaboratively alongside teachers, psychologists, speech and language therapists and other clinicians.
  • Contribute to staff training, consultation and the development of therapeutic strategies across the school.
  • Produce high-quality clinical reports, recommendations and intervention plans.
  • Promote independence, participation and meaningful engagement in education.

About You

  • Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current HCPC registration.
  • Membership of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT).
  • Experience working with children or young people, or transferable experience supporting individuals with neurodiversity, learning disabilities and/or SEMH needs.
  • Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and evidence-based practice.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently whilst contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • An interest in Sensory Integration or sensory-informed practice (training desirable but not essential).
