We are currently recruiting passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants / Learning Support Assistants to work across a group of specialist SEN schools and mainstream schools within Carlisle and the surrounding areas. These schools support children and young people with a range of additional needs including:
- Profound & Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Speech & Language barriers
As a Teaching Assistant / LSA, you will:
- Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Help create a safe, engaging and positive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and SEN professionals
- Have experience working with children or vulnerable adults (preferred but not essential)
- Be comfortable supporting SEN needs and behaviours
- Be flexible and available for either long-term placements or daily supply work
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or are willing to apply for one)
