Established an independent practice in Whitehaven. Having recently taken over the business from my former supervisor following her retirement, I am looking for a dedicated professional to join us during this exciting period of transition and modernisation. The practice serves a loyal patient base spanning 26 years. Given the specific eye health needs in the Cumbria area, the workload is varied and clinically interesting. We are well-equipped with Optomap and OCT technology, and our hardworking team is fully trained to handle OCT and field screenings outside the testing room to allow you to focus on your patients.
Key details of the role include:
- Schedule: 3.5 days per week, including Saturday mornings. There is flexibility on Saturdays, as these shifts are shared with our two other optometrists and Paula.
- Testing Times: We offer generous 40-minute testing slots to ensure high-quality care, with 30 minutes for children and contact lens checks. We typically see 11 patients per day.
- Clinical Scope: The work includes post-cataract care and a variety of clinical cases.
- Professional Development: We are committed to staff training and can support you through glaucoma training and other professional certifications.
- Salary: Up to £70,000 depending on experience.
We are looking for someone who wants to be part of a supportive environment as we streamline our processes and continue to grow. If you are interested in discussing this further, please let me know your availability for a brief call.
