Skyral combines AI, advanced modelling and simulation technology, and deep domain expertise to help organisations make faster, more confident decisions in complex environments. We work with government, defence and enterprise customers to solve difficult real-world problems, combining innovative technology with the pace and ambition of a growth-stage company.
We are looking for a senior Business Development Executive to grow Skyral's enterprise business and build long-term relationships with major commercial customers. You will identify the organisations and use cases where Skyral's modelling, simulation, AI and digital twin capabilities can create significant value, taking opportunities from initial engagement through to commercial agreement and expansion. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who is comfortable creating a market as well as selling into one. You will need to understand complex customer problems, engage credibly with senior decision makers and work with our product and technical teams to turn Skyral's technology into compelling commercial propositions.
The role spans the breadth of Skyral's enterprise market. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in Facilities Management, software sales into the Medical and Healthcare sector or Supply Chain and Logistics, where we already see significant potential to deepen existing relationships, expand successful use cases and take our technology into new customers and markets.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Create and Grow Enterprise Revenue: Identify, originate and close significant new enterprise business across Skyral's priority markets. Build and execute target-account and opportunity plans for major customers. Develop opportunities from early customer engagement through discovery, solution development, commercial negotiation and contract award. Build compelling business cases that connect Skyral's technology to measurable operational and commercial outcomes. Expand successful initial engagements into larger, longer-term customer relationships. Identify opportunities to cross-sell Skyral's capabilities across different teams, geographies and use cases within existing enterprise customers. Develop partnerships and routes to market that can accelerate growth.
- Build Strategic Customer Relationships: Develop trusted relationships with senior executives, operational leaders, technology stakeholders and other key decision makers. Build a deep understanding of customers' strategic priorities, operational challenges and investment decisions. Engage consultatively, helping customers identify new problems and use cases rather than simply responding to predefined requirements. Build a strong external network across relevant enterprise sectors. Represent Skyral at customer meetings, conferences and industry events.
- Own Your Pipeline and Market: Build and maintain a high-quality, well-qualified pipeline of enterprise opportunities. Ensure CRM data accurately reflects the status, value, timing, next actions and risks associated with each opportunity. Provide clear, evidence-based forecasts and proactively flag changes in timing or likelihood. Apply strong commercial judgement to qualification and focus time and resources on opportunities with genuine strategic and revenue potential. Maintain a strong understanding of customer needs, competitor activity and wider market developments. Work closely with the Chief Growth Officer through regular pipeline, account and opportunity reviews.
- Shape Propositions and Lead Cross-Functional Pursuits: Work closely with Product, Technology, Delivery, Finance, Marketing and Operations to develop compelling and deliverable customer propositions. Translate complex customer problems into clear opportunities for Skyral's modelling, simulation, AI and digital twin capabilities. Articulate the value of Skyral's technology credibly to both technical and commercial audiences. Bring customer and market insight back into Skyral to inform product development and go-to-market priorities. Work with relevant internal teams on pricing, commercial models and negotiation. Ensure commitments made during the sales process are understood internally and can be delivered successfully.
What We're Looking For
- A proven track record of winning complex, high-value B2B technology or software business with major enterprise customers.
- Experience selling sophisticated technology, SaaS, digital transformation, data, AI, modelling and simulation, digital twins or other complex solutions.
- Strong consultative and value-based selling skills, with the ability to uncover customer problems and create new commercial opportunities.
- The credibility to engage effectively with senior executives.
- Experience navigating complex buying processes involving operational, technical, commercial and procurement stakeholders.
- Strong commercial judgement, negotiation skills and the ability to progress opportunities from early engagement through to close.
- Excellent pipeline and CRM discipline, with an evidence-based approach to forecasting.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and enthusiasm for building new markets, propositions and customer relationships.
- The ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across a multidisciplinary organisation.
- Experience in Facilities Management, software sales into the Medical and Healthcare sector or Supply Chain and Logistics would be advantageous.
- Willingness to travel regularly to meet customers, partners and relevant industry stakeholders.
What We Can Offer You:
- Unlimited Paid Holiday - we value and support the need to maintain a strong work-life balance.
- Hybrid Working - we understand that a one-size-fits all approach doesn’t suit everyone.
- Flexible Working Hours - We’re not bound by the 9-to-5 model. Collaborate with your manager on determining a work schedule that suits you.
- Enhanced Parental Leave - we’re proud to offer 26 weeks maternity leave and 4 weeks paternity leave at full pay.

- Honest about Compensation - We maintain a well defined salary range which a member of the Talent Team will discuss with you during the first call.
