We are seeking a professional and reliable Class 1 Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Experience with fridge trailers and commercial driving is highly desirable, along with a strong commitment to customer service and adherence to road safety regulations.
Duties
- Ensure all cargo is secured properly before transit and during transportation.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during driving operations.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with legal requirements.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen delays.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Uphold a high standard of professionalism when interacting with clients and colleagues.
Both Day & Nightshift available Friday / Saturday & Sunday.
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or commercial driver.
- Demonstrable knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards within the UK.
- Prior experience in delivering goods using flatbed or specialised vehicles is advantageous.
- Valid driving licence suitable for commercial vehicles, with a clean driving record.
- Experience in handling delivery documentation and route planning is desirable.
