About this role
Associate in the EPIC β ETF Change team, supporting the ongoing growth and transformation of the global ETF business. Engage in a dynamic, collaborative environment, gaining hands-on experience in strategic change initiatives, developing a deep understanding of ETF operations, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across the organisation. The chosen candidate will develop a deep understanding of the ETF ecosystem, applying knowledge in finance, investment, analysis, and technical abilities. Collaboration with various teams is crucial for ETF projects. The individual in this role will address complex challenges at a detailed level and contribute to building and implementing solutions that support business growth objectives. Responsibilities include coordinating and collaborating across teams, helping to compose and progress strategic priorities, contributing to high-profile projects and consistently delivering high-quality outcomes. Responsibilities
- Implement enhancements to the operating model of the ETF ecosystem to support new product and platform initiatives
- Acquire a profound comprehension of BlackRock\βs proprietary ETF Solutions Platform (ESP), responsible for overseeing the entire ETF processing cycle and linking with Aladdin and service providers
- Capture and translate business and system processes into flows and supporting documentation which can be used by business and technology
- Collaborate with technology partners to identify and evaluate solutions supporting ESP improvements
- Define, co-ordinate and complete user acceptance tests working with and as a proxy to the end user community
- Establish and nurture solid working relationships with collaborators and delivery partners throughout BlackRock Global Markets (BGM), Aladdin Engineering, and Technology & Operations
- Act as a gatekeeper to ensure change does not come at the expense of resilience, robustness, and integrity of the platform
- Collaborate with external service providers to implement change initiatives
Qualifications
- Experience working on a variety of multi-functional business processes and/or business systems change initiatives across the end-to-end software development life cycle
- Exposure to asset management processes such as order management, trading, portfolio management, transfer agency, accounting, and custody
- Familiarity with investment products such as ETFs, mutual funds, fixed income, equity and derivatives
- Proven ability to articulate concepts to business users and technologists
- Exposure to data analysis tools (e.g. SQL, Python, APIs etc.) with a willingness to deepen technical skills to support data analysis, decision-making and process improvement
- Self-starter able to work flexibly and under their own initiative
- Clear and concise communicator with the ability to navigate and reconcile differing perspectives
- Ability to operate across multiple constituencies, at multiple levels of the organisation
- Apply sound judgement to evaluate the importance and potential impact of topics and issues
