Blackpool has a huge regeneration programme and a great opportunity to be at the heart of Blackpool’s plans is now available to a talented, proactive and results driven Project and Programme Monitoring and Assurance Officer to help us to continue on this exciting journey.

You will be an integral part of the Growth & Prosperity team at Blackpool Council. The team is pushing the boundaries of public sector investment, challenging perceptions and promoting Blackpool and Fylde as a serious place for business. Collaboration is key to the successful implementation of Blackpool’s £1bn + Growth and Prosperity programme that is driving the region’s economic growth.

We are seeking a suitably experienced individual for a role, which will involve project and programme management and monitoring, helping to create, develop and support robust systems and procedures. Key initiatives include projects as part of the £39.5m Towns Fund, £40m Levelling Up Fund, £8m Capital Regeneration Fund scheme and £2.4m Shared Prosperity Fund.

The role will also involve bid writing activity, departmental business planning support and oversight, risk management and supporting the overseeing of other strategy and service plan creation and monitoring.

The post holder will also provide project support to the wider Growth and Prosperity team to aid with project management and coordination, report writing, funding advice, claims completion support, data collection support etc.

You will be a key member of a committed and enthusiastic team from a range of development disciplines. You will also have the opportunity to become involved with many of the Growth and Prosperity Team’s unique regeneration projects.
