Contract and Hours
Contract Type: Casual
Hours: As and when required
Salary: NJC Grade E SCP 12 £14.82 per hour
Closing Date: Friday 19th December 2025 at 12 noon
Role and Responsibilities
The role will be to help vulnerable people during the night to remain in their own home with an improved quality of life either as part of a double up team or by undertaking a waking watch. The role also involves supporting individuals upon discharge from hospital as part of the Discharge to Assess pathways and providing Complex and Palliative care.
The successful candidates will be supporting the service on a casual basis working from 10pm to 7am which may include weekends and bank holidays.
As a front line care provider we ensure Government guidance is implemented and practiced at all times with regards to the current climate.
Responsibilities
- Support vulnerable individuals at night to remain in their own homes, potentially as part of a double up team or a waking watch.
- Assist with Discharge to Assess pathways and provide Complex and Palliative care where required.
- Work casual night shifts from 10pm to 7am, including weekends and bank holidays as needed.
- Adhere to safeguarding and health and safety practices and maintain a high standard of care.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A full driving licence and use of a car is preferable.
- Previous care experience could be an advantage, but it is not essential.
- This post requires safeguarding checks and compliance with DBS, medical clearance, essential qualifications, and Right to Work in the UK.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children/vulnerable adults.
