Blackpool Tourism Ltd and Blackpool Heritage and Museum Trust are seeking a Non-Executive Director with finance, governance, or audit expertise from a commercial background to serve on the Boards of Blackpool Tourism Ltd (BTL) and Blackpool Heritage and Museum Trust (BHMT). This role also includes Chairing the Audit Committee across both organisations.

As the Audit Committee Chair, you will lead on audit and governance, and should have a solid understanding of good governance and risk management practice. The ability to operate at a strategic level and scrutinise performance effectively is essential for the wider duties on the company boards.

The Boards will oversee attractions such as Blackpool Tower, Madame Tussauds, The Dungeons, Sandcastle Waterpark, and the Visit Blackpool tourism function on behalf of the Council (BTL), as well as the Showtown Museum (BHMT). This is an exciting time for both organisations, with a shared ambition to celebrate and promote Blackpool’s unique heritage, culture, and visitor experience—working together to create a vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable destination that honours the past, enriches the present, and inspires the future for residents and visitors alike.

The role of Non-Executive Director requires a commitment to attend at least eight meetings per year across both organisations, plus training and away days as needed. The role of Audit Committee Chair will involve a minimum of four additional meetings per year.
