Fylde Council is looking for a motivated Health & Wellbeing Officer to join our Communities team and help improve the health and wellbeing of residents across the borough. This is a hands-on, community-focused role delivering a tier 2 adult weight management service and supporting people to make lasting lifestyle changes.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Deliver structured weight management programmes for adults (18+)
  • Support individuals to lose weight and increase physical activity
  • Lead engaging group sessions using behaviour change and motivational techniques
  • Signpost residents to local physical activity opportunities
  • Develop and promote health initiatives across the borough
  • Support events and wider community wellbeing activities
  • Produce content for social media, website and promotional materials

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience delivering weight management or physical activity programmes
  • Knowledge of behaviour change and motivational interviewing
  • Relevant qualification in weight management, nutrition or physical activity
  • Strong communication and group facilitation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible approach to working evenings and weekends
