OI PEASANTS! WE’RE RECRUITING ACTORS AT THE BLACKPOOL TOWER DUNGEON... Ever dreamed of stepping into the shadows of Blackpool’s most perilous past? Do you thrive on mischief, relish the darker side of storytelling, and know how to command a room? We’re assembling an exceptional cast of theatrical performers to bring to life the scariest — and funniest — journey through Blackpool’s murky history. Your job? To transport guests back in time and immerse them in tales of terror, humour, and twisted local legends.

You’ll take on a variety of larger-than-life characters: one day you could embody a Plague Doctor's Assistant, and the next you might become the intimidating Judge Blackheart. Because of this, we’re looking for performers who can learn scripts quickly, switch between roles seamlessly, maintain strict brand standards and deliver bold, high-energy performances with strong vocal stamina for the potential of performing shows every seven and a half minutes. Our expert trainers will work closely with you to ensure every show remains spine-tinglingly brilliant — so being open to direction and committed to maintaining consistently high standards is essential.

This is a seasonal role contracted until November 2026. Flexibility is key, as you’ll be scheduled to work weekends, bank holidays, and peak holiday seasons on a roster basis. To be considered, please attach your acting CV and an up-to-date headshot.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Outstanding script delivery and strong character acting skills
  • Confident voice control and the ability to perform reliably to a high standard
  • Performance talents that help create unforgettable, immersive guest experiences
  • A BA (Hons) or equivalent in Acting, Performance, Performing Arts, Theatre, or similar (desirable)
  • Ability to maintain sinister eye contact for unnervingly long periods of time
  • The ability to portray a strong Lancashire/Northern accent
  • Be 18 years of age or older as of the 1 June 2026

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary Contract length: 4 months Application question(s): Work Location: In person
