Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our innovative, progressive and dynamic team. As a Band 5 Rotational Physiotherapist you will play a key role in the provision of high quality physiotherapy services. Offering a comprehensive range of rotations within :
Frailty and A&E,Cardiothoracic Surgery, Critical Care, General Surgery, Orthopaedics (trauma and electives), MSK outpatients, Integrated Community Neurorehabilitation Service (off site), Acute Stroke Rehabilitation Unit, Acute Medicine (General, Respiratory, Haematology/Oncology/Gastro), Care of the Older Person, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Clifton Rehabilitation (off site).
You will be guided and well supported by senior and clinically specialised staff, engaging in regular supervision, objectives and appraisals to enhance your personal and professional development.
As a rotational Band 5 Physiotherapist you will be required to take part in delivering a quality Physiotherapy Service in balance with working clinically alongside Consultants and other members of the Multidisciplinary Team. You will need to be enthusiastic, forward thinking and have a problem solving approach to patient management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to support other team members is essential.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for the provision of Physiotherapy assessment, intervention and discharge planning of patients with multiple and sometimes complex diagnoses. You will also work collaboratively with other members of the multi-disciplinary team in order to provide a holistic patient centred service, working towards shared goals and a safe and timely discharge.
You will be expected to participate in weekend working and on call rotas on a rota basis.
You will be required to have a full clean UK driving licence and access to a car for off site rotations.

Qualifications
- Diploma/degree in physiotherapy
- HPC registration
Experience
- CPD diary including evidence of reflective practice and undergraduate experience
- Theoretical and clinical knowledge underpinning physiotherapy practice
- Broad range acquired at undergraduate/newly qualified level.
- Experience of working within the NHS
- Respiratory Clinical Experience
Skills and attributes
- Basic I.T. skills
- Realistic insight into clinical skills and limitations
- Good communication, planning, organisational and time management skills
Personal
- Motivation, drive and enthusiasm for delivering a quality service as part of the physiotherapy team

Please note, you will be required to repay the cost on appointment. This will be collected via a salary deduction. You can choose whether to pay this over 1-3 months from your salary or as a one-off payment on commencement in post. The level of check required depends on the role that you have been offered. Currently the charges are - Basic DBS check £24, Standard DBS check £24 and Enhanced DBS check £45.
You are encouraged where possible, to register for the DBS update service. This is an annual registration fee of £15. By registering for the update service you will not have the additional cost of repeated disclosures.
Should you withdraw your application, you may be required to reimburse the cost of the DBS check.
DBS checks remain free of charge for volunteer positions.
