Band 5 Staff Nurse – Gastroenterology – Ward 2 – Permanent, full time, 37.5 hrs/week. Rotational coverage includes days, nights and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high quality nursing care in a busy gastroenterology ward.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with patients, families and colleagues.
- Support student nurses and participate in mentoring and teaching programmes.
- Attend ongoing in‑service training and professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to ward management and support the smooth running of the team.
Person specification
- Qualifications: NMC Adult Registered Nurse.
- Willingness to undertake teaching and assessment qualifications.
- Experience: Ability to teach peers within the clinical area.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Experience of team and ward management (Staff or Student Nurse).
