As a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse, you will manage the ward’s daily operations in the ward manager’s absence, maintain a visible presence, support junior staff, and ensure high standards of patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient care and safety huddles, informing staff of new risks.
- Assist with medical rounds and liaise with the medical team.
- Manage sickness and attendance, including incident reporting and audits.
- Support training needs, arrange staff courses, and monitor compliance.
- Collaborate with the ward manager on general management duties.
