At Hodgson Academy, we are committed to providing an enjoyable, successful experience of learning for all our students. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join our Learning Support department.

Our Learning Support department is collaborative, high-performing, and student-focused. You'll be joining a highly experienced and supportive team that meets each morning, shares resources, and benefits from dedicated whole-school Teaching and Learning CPD alongside mentor support for new team members.
A day in your new role could see you:-
- implementing structured learning activities to support individual students or groups in English, maths, science, and other subject areas.
- developing positive relationships with students to support their progress, attainment, and personal development.
- assisting in monitoring, recording, and reviewing students' progress, barriers, and individual targets.
- supporting students with an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) or specific learning and medical/care needs.
- assisting teachers with classroom management, student behaviour, and the preparation of learning resources.
- supervising and supporting during After School / Homework clubs held in our library.
- utilising our two newly refurbished Learning Support suites with ICT facilities and interactive whiteboards to deliver effective interventions.

Qualifications
- GCSE/NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics / Numeracy essential
- Recognised and relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent. desirable
Experience
- Experience of working with children essential
- Experience of working in a classroom environment
- Experience of supporting children with challenging behaviour
- Experience of Administrative work
- Experience of supporting pupils with literacy and phonics
- Knowledge of food hygiene and/or relevant cleaning and hygiene procedures
- Ability to plan and deliver work programmes
