Blackpool Sixth is an outstanding college specialising in 16-19 education, we have an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Teacher to join our team. There are exciting times ahead for the college as we have recently become a founding member of The Coastal Collaborative Trust. The position is well suited to you if you are either looking for the first steps into teaching or if you are looking to advance an already established career in a thriving and supportive workplace. Based in the science department you will work closely with others in the department to support your students to achieve their ambitions. We believe that all science qualifications carry equal importance, as part of the science team you can expect to teach A-level electronics and the electronics units of the CTEC Engineering course at level 3. We are passionate about our subject and we aspire to develop our students so they readily go forward into the world of science with the skills, enthusiasm and confidence necessary to succeed. Our department is innovative and continuously seeks new opportunities to develop. A day as an Electronics Teacher could see you: * working collaboratively with others in the department on schemes of work and resources * inspiring students to develop their knowledge of electronics * being involved with local industry in developing work experience opportunities for students * providing academic support for students * contributing to the science academy to inspire our students by completing projects and tasks beyond the curriculum.
