Blackpool Sixth is a first-class college specialising in 16–19 education, and we're on the lookout for a friendly, detail-loving Finance Officer to join our brilliant Finance Team on a permanent basis. We are proud to be part of the Coastal Collaborative Trust, a group of academies committed to giving every young person the very best opportunities. As our new Finance Officer, you'll primarily be based at Blackpool Sixth but will also support finance processes across our Trust, helping us keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
You'll be joining a small but mighty Finance Team who take pride in what they do. Whether it's a smooth audit or that perfect reconciliation moment, we celebrate the wins, and we care deeply about accuracy, efficiency and making a real impact across our college community.
A day in your new role as a Finance Officer could see you:
- Working through purchase orders, invoices, staff expenses and supplier payments
- Reconciling bank statements (that satisfying moment when everything matches)
- Keeping financial records clear, tidy and up to date
- Helping to monitor budgets and preparing reports for leaders across the college and Trust
- Supporting year-end accounts and audit processes
- Getting payroll information ready in partnership with the People Team
- Answering queries from colleagues and suppliers and helping them find the right information
- Providing general support to the finance team and assisting the Finance Lead
