Agency Health Care Assistant

Job Summary

Blackpool & Fylde Lastminute Care & Nursing is a multi award winning care organization that has been running for 12 years, we have 16 offices around the uk.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team., you must have a minimum of 6 moths UK care experience. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting and assisting individuals in their own homes.

This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work effectively within a team. A valid driving licence is preferred for this role as it may involve travel between locations.

Duties

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility support
• Implement and follow care plans tailored to individual needs
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents\’ conditions to senior staff
• Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the living environment
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
• Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes

Requirements

• Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable
• Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively
• Proficient in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic IT skills for documentation and record-keeping
• A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between locations
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others

Pay: £12.21-£13.63 per hour
