About the Role
The Housing Options Service delivers a wide variety of services to some of the most vulnerable residents of Blackpool. As a Housing Options Trainee you will be supported to develop a comprehensive understanding of the departmental functions, including frontline advice and assessment, early intervention, and homelessness prevention.
Responsibilities
- Deliver services and duties under the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017
- Provide frontline advice and assessment to clients seeking housing support
- Assist in early intervention and homeless prevention activities
- Develop working knowledge of the Housing Options department functions
Qualifications & Skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to deal sensitively with customers
- Strong IT skills, self‑motivated, and able to work as part of a team
- Flexible and practical approach with a capacity to devise creative solutions to complex problems
- Desirable: knowledge or understanding of housing and homelessness issues
