About the role

This role is only being offered as a secondment opportunity. If you wish to apply for this role on a secondment basis, you must seek your manager’s agreement before formally applying. We are seeking a motivated individual to work as part of the Awards and Advice Team to assist with the delivery of the Government's Crisis and Resilience Fund up until 31/3/2029. The main focus of activity will be delivering and monitoring the internal activity of the Crisis and Resilience Fund internal plan alongside developing and planning innovative support mechanisms for the next 2 years to support residents to build longer-term resilience. The role will also involve working alongside the existing Advice Senior Team Manager, deputising and supporting with HR matters.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver on the internal action plan, working collaboratively with internal teams, partners and community and voluntary organisations to ensure support reaches those most in need.
  • Maintain high quality record keeping to meet Government reporting requirements.
  • Analyse trends of existing and new initiatives to provide insight on demand, emerging needs and whether outcomes have been met.
  • Make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
  • Be knowledgeable about financial hardship and local support systems.

Requirements

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with or knowledge of financial hardship and local support systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, partners, community and voluntary organisations.
  • Capability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Access to PSN (Public Services Network) services or networks.
  • Must undertake a Basic Disclosure check of unspent convictions through DBS.
  • Practical references, medical clearance, evidence of any essential qualifications and proof of legal working in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996.

Contract Information

  • Contract – Secondment until 31/03/2029
  • Hours – 37 per week
  • Salary – NJC Grade £38,220–£40,777 per annum
  • Closing date – 1st July 2026 at noon
