The predicted salary is between 28350 - 34650 Β£ per year.

Applications are invited from highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to work within the Council's Client Finances Team within Revenues, Benefits & Customer Services.

This is a fixed term post until March 2029.

A secondment will be considered if agreed with your current line manager.

The team provides support to people who lack capacity to manage their own financial affairs, as a result of illness or disability.

This includes acting as DWP Appointee and Court of Protection appointed Deputy.

The Client Finances team act on behalf of, and in the best interests of their clients, dealing with the ongoing management of their property and financial affairs.

As a Client Finance Specialist you will be required to provide day to day oversight and support to the team, to enable an efficient, effective and comprehensive client financial services function.

A considerable understanding of the guidance and legislation relating to appointeeships and deputyships together with substantial knowledge of the benefits system is essential.

The post holder will need to develop and implement policies and procedures in relation to the service, working towards continuous improvements in service delivery.

The role also involves working across multiple IT and banking systems, including supporting staff undertaking different functions and using a range of systems.

In addition, the post holder will also have responsibility for training new staff.

The team work closely with social workers, care providers and external agencies such as the Department for Work and Pensions, so a person centered approach is essential in ensuring that the client's best interests are at the heart of every action.

You will need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be confident, enthusiastic and have good time management skills; able to work in a busy environment supporting a busy team, as well as dealing with internal and external stakeholders and partners.

An existing supervisory qualification or a willingness to work towards obtaining a qualification is required.

This post requires access to PSN (Public Services Network) services or networks and the successful post holder will be required to undertake a Basic Disclosure check of unspent convictions through Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS).

This post is also subject to satisfactory references, medical clearance, evidence of any essential qualifications and proof of legal working in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996.
