Responsibilities:
- Responsible for pool discipline and constant vigilance of bather's activities.
- Keep up to date knowledge of the facilities programme and requirements of a multi-use facility.
- Ensure knowledge of products, sales procedures and activities are up to date.
- Maintain training hours in accordance with National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) guidelines, and maintain the NPLQ qualification.
- Be well presented at all times with clean uniform, neat and tidy appearance.
- Provide excellent standards of customer service and follow staff pledge.
- Complete membership show rounds as and when necessary to sign up new members and positively reflect Blackpool Services and Council.
- Ensure all equipment is safe for use, available and set out for the customer, completing accurately all paperwork required daily.
- Ensure throughout the day that cleaning and inspection processes are followed and the facility is maintained to a safe and clean level.
- Implement and supervise measures devised by the Leisure Operations Manager, Senior Duty Officer, Duty Officer, Assistant Duty Officer, maintaining the security of the premises.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Relevant qualifications in lifeguarding and pool safety.
- Evidence of at least two years satisfactory reference history.
- Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, medical clearance, Right to Work in the UK.
- Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children/vulnerable adults.
