Role Overview
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic individual to join Blackpool Council in the new AdvertiseBlackpool department as Administration and Events Support Officer. The role involves supporting the advertising sales team with reporting, customer liaison, invoicing, and general administration, and working alongside the Council Events Governance Officer to assist with events applications and meetings. Based at the AdvertiseBlackpool office in Blackpool centre, the position works closely with the printing company PrintBlackpool. The role is full time with hybrid flexibility, 26 days holiday, a government pension scheme, and other council employee benefits.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the advertising sales team, including reporting, customer liaison, invoicing, and general administration.
- Assist the Council Events Governance Officer with events applications and meetings.
- Collaborate with the printing company PrintBlackpool on relevant projects.
- Maintain accurate records and support general office functions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Demonstrable background in administrative duties within a vibrant or sales environment.
- Access to PSN (Public Services Network) services or networks.
- Successful completion of a Basic Disclosure (DBS) check for unspent convictions.
- Satisfactory references, medical clearance, evidence of essential qualifications, and proof of legal working status in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996.
