We're seeking an experienced and passionate Trainer in Children and Young Peoples Residential Care to deliver high-quality training and assessment across Apprenticeship and Further Education programmes at Blackpool and The Fylde College. This role focuses on developing the next generation of residential childcare professionals, supporting learners to achieve outstanding outcomes and positively impact the lives of children and young people.
Working closely with students, employers and curriculum colleagues, you will deliver engaging learning experiences, monitor learner progress and contribute to the continuous improvement of our Residential Childcare provision.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Deliver high-quality practical and theoretical training, assessment and coaching across Children and Young Peoples Residential Care programmes, creating engaging learning experiences that support learner achievement and progression.
- Support apprentice and student success through effective progress reviews, initial assessments and Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), working closely with employers to ensure learning is aligned to workplace practice and programme requirements.
- Develop and maintain innovative learning resources, including digital and online training materials, ensuring programmes remain current, compliant and responsive to sector needs.
- Monitor learner performance, provide constructive feedback and contribute to quality improvement activities to enhance teaching, learning, assessment and achievement outcomes.
- Work collaboratively across College teams and with external stakeholders, supporting recruitment activities, employer engagement and the successful delivery of curriculum programmes.
