Blackpool & The Fylde College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Specialist Practitioner in ESOL to join our dynamic team based at our Bispham campus. You will join us on a full time, Fixed-Term contract, and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £28,782 - £30,454 per annum.
We're seeking a committed and learner-centred Specialist Practitioner in ESOL to support the delivery of high-quality, inclusive learning across our ESOL provision. This maternity cover Study Programme role sits within the ESOL provision and focuses on delivering the wider curriculum to ESOL learners across Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre. You'll teach non-ESOL subjects including maths, digital skills and Living and Working in the UK, supporting learners from Pre-Entry through to Entry Level 3. The role is centred on helping ESOL learners develop essential skills for everyday life, further study and employment, through accessible, contextualised teaching that reflects learners' language levels, backgrounds and aspirations.
How you'll make an impact as our Specialist Practitioner in ESOL:
- Deliver and assess engaging learning across the ESOL Study Programme, facilitating learning in classrooms and other learning environments in line with schemes of work, ILPs and curriculum plans.
- Support learner success and progression by providing information, advice and guidance, enrolment support, assessment, feedback, action planning and recording of achievement.
- Contribute to quality and curriculum development through accurate administration, internal verification/moderation, online learning materials, and participation in team and curriculum meetings.
- Promote continuous improvement and professional practice by engaging in training, supporting quality improvement activities, and contributing to the ongoing development of schemes of work and curriculum.
