Blackpool & The Fylde College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Lecturer in ESOL to join our dynamic team based at our Bispham campus. You will join us on a full time, Fixed-Term contract, and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £32,263 - £37,415 per annum.

About the Lecturer in ESOL role:

We're seeking an enthusiastic and inclusive Lecturer in ESOL to assist in the development and delivery of high-quality managed learning for our ESOL students. This maternity cover post is based primarily at the Seasiders campus and involves delivering ESOL provision across Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre. The successful candidate will plan and deliver inclusive, engaging lessons that meet the needs of a diverse learner group, supporting learners to develop their language skills, confidence and progression towards further study, employment or wider community participation.

How you'll make an impact as our Lecturer in ESOL:

  • Plan engaging lessons and contribute to curriculum design and quality improvement, ensuring provision meets learner and awarding-body requirements.
  • Monitor and support student recruitment, retention, achievement and progression, providing targeted academic and pastoral support.
  • Effectively use B&FC systems and processes (including VLEs, tracking, internal verification and moderation) to enable student success.
  • Contribute to wider college activity, including recruitment events, professional practice, scholarship and collaboration within the academic community.
