The Role

We’re seeking an experienced and student-focused SSWI Inclusion Co‑ordinator (HE) to lead the coordination of inclusive support for Higher Education students.

You’ll play a key role in identifying student needs, securing and implementing appropriate support arrangements, including Disabled Students’ Allowances (DSA) and Non‑Medical Helper (NMH) provision, while providing leadership and guidance to a team of Disability Specialists.

Through early intervention, collaboration, and expert advice, you’ll help ensure students can achieve their full potential and thrive in an inclusive learning environment.

  • How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Coordinate and oversee specialist support for Higher Education students with disabilities and additional needs, including DSA applications, NMH provision, and tailored support plans.
  • Build strong relationships with students, curriculum teams, support services, funding bodies, and external partners to identify needs, implement reasonable adjustments, and promote inclusive learning practices.
  • Monitor student engagement, wellbeing, and attainment, providing timely interventions and prioritising support to ensure students receive the assistance they need to succeed.
  • Lead, develop, and support a team of Disability Specialists, ensuring high‑quality service delivery through effective performance management, professional development, and resource planning.
  • Manage resources, budgets, data reporting, and compliance requirements relating to DSA and NMH provision, ensuring accurate records and effective use of support funding.
