Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Specialist Practitioner in Automotive Engineering to join our forward‑thinking curriculum team. This role is central to coordinating and supporting effective learning across a range of automotive programmes, helping students develop the technical skills, confidence, and professionalism needed for the modern automotive industry.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Delivering and facilitating high‑quality learning and assessment across classrooms, workshops, laboratories, and digital learning environments.
- Instructing, assessing, and supporting students across a range of qualifications and modes of attendance, ensuring learning is aligned with individual learning plans and curriculum requirements.
- Preparing, maintaining, and monitoring learning resources, equipment, and workshops, with a strong focus on health and safety compliance.
- Providing information, advice, and guidance to support student recruitment, enrolment, progression, and achievement.
- Assessing, monitoring, and recording student progress, including marking work, maintaining records, and contributing to tutorials and action planning.
- Supporting curriculum development, quality improvement activities, internal verification/moderation, and the development of online learning and assessment materials.
- Contributing to students’ personal development, encouraging independence, responsibility for learning, and safe working practices.
