Overview

Post: Social Media Executive

Responsible to: Head of Marketing

Rewards package: Grade 3, Access to Government Pension Scheme and 30 Days Annual Leave

Principal Duties

  • To create and distribute compelling content across B&FC’s social platforms.
  • Actively engage students, colleagues and other stakeholders to aid content creation.
  • Develop and utilise graphic design skills and branding awareness to produce content and graphics across print and digital platforms.
  • Produce inspiring and engaging videos and images bringing B&FC to life.
  • Develop and run social campaigns aligned to student recruitment calendar.
  • Carry out content writing and editing for social media that are effective at prompting readers to take action.
  • Schedule content for release at optimal times using dedicated software.
  • Work alongside marketing and curriculum colleagues to make sure that social content is optimised for best performance.
  • Work with our contact centre ensuring that customer service issues on social platforms are engaged with and responded to in a timely manner.
  • Analyse and report on social media content.
  • Carry out general positive engagement with commenters on B&FC’s social channels including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok.
  • Monitor and report on direct competitor activity.
  • Liaise and keep an up to date record of social contacts across B&FC to create a unified, official tone of voice and social presence.
  • Provide B&FC colleagues with best practice, relevant contacts and information – as well as aiding new B&FC companies on board.
  • Create new sub pages for department/curriculum areas and delivering social media training.
  • Assist HR team to ensure access to social platforms is revoked upon their resignation.
  • Remain abreast of changes to all pertinent social media applications.
  • Publish content across TV screens in line with content requests.

  • To be proactive in identifying and pursuing opportunities that are appropriate to maintaining your own professional development, and to positively engage in the B&FC performance review scheme and all relevant training.
  • To maintain the confidentiality and security of information and data at all times.
  • Undertake any other tasks and responsibilities appropriate to the level of this post.
