Blackpool and Fylde College are looking for day-to-day supervision of the College’s Commercial Catering provision within the agreed service standards and delivering an outstanding catering service that satisfies H&S compliance requirements and supporting the achievement of 5* Food Hygiene rating across the College catering outlets.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct support to the Commercial Catering Services Manager and acting as deputy in their absence.
- Supervision of the Catering Assistants and Chef Supervisors/Chefs and support with managing each catering outlet to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- To provide operational assistance and support in any of the College’s Commercial Catering outlets as required.
- To be responsible for ensuring the Commercial Catering operation meets all Health & Safety and EHO standards.
- Ensure each catering outlet and associated catering team members follow HACCP expectations and monitor and record all data accordingly.
- The delivery of menu options that address the College and customer expectations in respect of healthier choices, price and quality and the wellbeing.
- Managing the day-to-day training of all the Commercial Catering staff to ensure they are all trained to the appropriate level for all aspects of their jobs.
- To carry out annual and mid-year performance reviews for Catering Assistants and Chef Supervisors/Chefs.
- To ensure agreed service standards are met and respond to customer feedback and make any appropriate adjustments or improvements to the service.
- Ensure all relevant risk assessments and COSHH records are monitored and up-to-date and that catering colleagues are up to date with any changes.
- Ensuring that robust systems and procedures are in place for all Commercial Catering income.
- The general operation of all aspects of stock control and procurement of all foodstuffs and catering supplies across all the Commercial Catering outlets.
