Blackpool & The Fylde College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Lecturer in Uniformed Protective Services at our Bispham campus. You will join us on a full time, permanent basisand in return, we will offer a competitive salaryof £60,000 per annum.

The Lecturer in Uniformed Protective Services role:

Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Lecturer in Uniformed Protective Services. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver and develop a high-quality curriculum, inspiring students to succeed in careers within the uniformed services.

Key Responsibilities of our Lecturer in Uniformed Protective Services:

As a key member of the team, your primary responsibility will be to ensure outstanding teaching and learning experiences for students. Specific duties will include:

  • Delivering inclusive and high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment.
  • Assisting with curriculum design, development, and quality improvement.
  • Monitoring and supporting student recruitment, progress, achievement, and progression.
  • Using B&FC systems (e.g. VLE, progress tracking) to enable student success.
  • Participating in recruitment activities such as interviews, open days, and events.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the subject area and effective pedagogies.
  • Contributing to the academic community through professional practice and scholarship.
