The Role
We’re seeking a proactive and motivated Lecturer in Policing and Criminology to support the delivery of high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment across our Policing and Criminology curriculum.
You’ll play a key role in inspiring students, supporting their academic and professional development, and ensuring they achieve their full potential in a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in Policing or Criminology, with the ability to bring current industry knowledge and practice into the classroom.

- Deliver and manage engaging, inclusive teaching, learning, and assessment to a high standard, ensuring students receive an exceptional learning experience and achieve positive outcomes.
- Contribute to curriculum design, development, and continuous quality improvement, ensuring programmes remain current, meet academic standards, and reflect sector best practice.
- Monitor and support student recruitment, retention, achievement, and progression, providing targeted guidance and interventions to help learners succeed.
- Support student recruitment and engagement activities, including interviews, Initial Advice and Guidance (IAG), Open Days, and curriculum‑specific events to attract and inspire prospective students.
- Utilise college systems and maintain up-to-date subject knowledge and pedagogical practice, contributing to the wider academic community through scholarship, research, and professional engagement.
