Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is seeking a skilled and analytical Information Analyst to join our Management Information & Funding (MI&F) team. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically confident professional to develop and enhance systems and processes that ensure complete, accurate and up-to-date student information, while supporting audit compliance, optimal funding claims and continuous quality improvement across the College.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Develop and maintain robust data systems, reference data structures and electronic forms within the student record system to ensure accuracy, consistency and operational efficiency.
  • Design and optimise data processes that enhance the quality and timeliness of ILR and Student Loans data, supporting funding compliance and audit readiness.
  • Build, manage and improve automated workflows and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data across systems, ensuring strong data governance and integrity.
  • Lead on technical development requests by producing clear specifications, delivering scalable solutions, and driving continuous process improvement through automation and system optimisation.
  • Coordinate software updates and system enhancements, overseeing testing, risk assessment, stakeholder communication and liaison with software providers.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, workflows and data models, and provide flexible support across the MI&F team during peak periods such as enrolment and major system upgrades.
