Qualifications
Possession of a recognised teaching qualification (minimum level 5)
Possession of a degree in therelevant discipline.
Level 2 inEnglish and Mathematics or equivalent or willingness to undertake within 12months of appointment
Possession of a Mastersqualification or willingto work towards. HE POSTS ONLY
Possession of assessor and/orverifier awards or willingness to achieve in probationaryperiod
Possession of a formal Management Qualification
Additional qualifications in subject specialism relevant to the Curriculum area
Experience
Industrial experience in an appropriate discipline
Experience of teaching a wide rangeof levels and is evidenced by high student satisfaction and high successrates.
Experience of effectively tutoring and supporting individuals which is evidenced by high successrates and student satisfaction
Experience of successfully coordinating and managing a portfolio of programmes
To showinitiative to developcurriculum based on demands of the sector
Experience of usingand applying quality improvement processes related to the curriculum
Proven commitment to continuous quality improvement througha range of activities
Demonstrable trackrecord of driving forward significant organisational development and change
Knowledge, Skills andAbilities
Respond effectively to and meeta range of learning styles
Demonstrate an entrepreneurial approach to meet customer and curriculum needs.
Communicate in all formsclearly, succinctly and in a timely manner
Demonstrate a soundknowledge of current trends in Furtherand Higher Education particularly in relation tothe industry
