Blackpool & The Fylde College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Lecturer in Early Years and Education to join our dynamic team based at our Bispham campus. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis, and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of up to £32,263 - £37,415 per annum.
Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Lecturer in Early Years and Education. This is a unique opportunity to inspire and shape the future of students entering the Early Years and Primary Education sectors by delivering engaging, high-quality instruction across both practical and theoretical aspects of the field. We are particularly interested in applicants who bring practical experience within Early Years and/or Primary Education, as this will enrich the learning experience for our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering high-quality, inclusive teaching, learning, and assessment in Early Years and Education.
- Assisting with curriculum design, development, and ongoing quality improvement within the department.
- Supporting student recruitment through interviews, Initial Advice and Guidance (IAG), Open Days, and curriculum-focused events.
- Monitoring and supporting student progress, retention, achievement, and progression using effective tracking systems.
- Applying up-to-date knowledge of Early Years and Primary Education practice, using innovative digital and in-person teaching approaches.
- Using B&FC systems such as the VLE, progress-tracking software, and internal verification processes to support learner success.
- Contributing to the wider academic community through research, scholarship, and professional practice.
