Salary: Β£29,500 starting salary, with structured pay progression up to Β£47,500 as you complete key training milestones and achieve full ATSEP qualification.

We're looking for a Trainee Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel (ATSEP) to join our Air Traffic Engineering team at Blackpool Airport.

This is an exciting opportunity to start a long-term career in aviation, working towards a full ATSEP qualification over a training programme of up to three years. You'll gain hands-on experience maintaining the specialist systems that help keep air traffic operations running safely and efficiently.

As an ATSEP, you'll play a vital role in the safety of air travel by helping to install, maintain and repair the equipment used by pilots and air traffic controllers, including communication systems, navigational aids and aeronautical ground lighting.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting the installation, maintenance and repair of air traffic control systems and aeronautical ground lighting
  • Helping to ensure critical equipment operates safely and meets regulatory requirements
  • Supporting the reliability and performance of air navigation and communication systems
  • Working alongside experienced engineers while developing your technical knowledge and practical skills
  • Completing ongoing training, assessments and development activities towards full qualification

You'll need

  • A Level 3 qualification in a STEM subject (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics)
  • A full UK driving licence

Training and development
