We are recruiting an Administrator in Norwich for a well-known company, full training, and immediate start. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced administrator to step into an admin role with clear progression and skill development.
This is a fast-paced admin role within a transport environment, ideal for someone with strong organisation, communication, and Excel skills looking to grow within logistics and transport planning.
OBJECTIVES:
- To ensure that Health & Safety procedures are adhered to at all times
- To ensure that all work completed is accurately charged in accordance with customer contracts
- To assist in raising purchase orders and maintaining records as required
HEALTH & SAFETY
All Veolia employees are required to:
- Act responsibly and to do everything they can to prevent injury to themselves and other persons
- Observe all rules and appropriate operating procedures and instructions regarding safety at all times
- Correctly use safety equipment, protective devices and PPE
- Inform their immediate superior of all accidents, dangerous occurrences, near miss events, damage or potentially dangerous situations, whether persons are injured or not
- Assist in the investigation of any accidents or incidents
- Report any unsafe or defective plant, tools, equipment, PPE, practices, methods or other hazards
- Participate in improving Health & Safety in the Company by making suggestions in these matters to the Manager, Supervisor or Safety Representative
RESPONSIBILITIES
- To answer all inbound calls in a polite and professional manner logging the details accurately in Salesforce.com
- To build strong relationships with both external and internal customers
- To ensure prompt resolution of complaints with a strong focus on customer retention
- To assist credit control with outstanding debts by way of query resolution
- Understand the daily driver debrief process and deal with any issues raised maintaining records of actions in Salesforce.com
- To fulfil Health and Safety responsibilities by ensuring that all work undertaken is in accordance with the company’s Health & Safety policies and procedures and any relevant legislation
- To undertake any other such duties as may reasonably be required within the Service Centre
- To undertake any training and development as required
- To support the Administration Coordinator in ad hoc projects
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Numerate and PC literate with good telephone manner and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on own initiative in high pressure environment
- Attention to detail

Shift Pattern:
Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:00
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year admin experience (busy office environment)
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Office packages
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- High level of organisation and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced transport office
- Previous transport or logistics admin experience (preferred but not essential)
