As a Waste Operative (Recycling Assistant), you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of a busy Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC). Working as part of a professional team, your duties will include:
- Assisting members of the public with the safe disposal of household waste and recycling materials
- Directing customers to the correct areas for rubbish, recycling, and food waste
- Ensuring the waste and recycling centre is kept clean, safe, and well organised
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout the site
- Implementing and following site procedures and health and safety policies
- Providing a friendly, professional, and helpful service to all site users
- Working as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of the recycling facility
