We are urgently recruiting HGV Class 2 Dustcart Drivers for July and August cover with immediate starts available. Offering £20.00 per hour, this is an excellent opportunity for experienced refuse drivers looking for steady, well-paid summer work within the waste management sector.

As an HGV Class 2 Dustcart Driver (Refuse Driver), you will be responsible for completing scheduled residential and commercial waste collection routes, working alongside a team of loaders to ensure collections are completed safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on Class 2 driving role within a busy waste management operation, ideal for reliable drivers with previous dustcart or refuse collection experience.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Driving a Class 2 dustcart / refuse vehicle
  • Completing waste and recycling collections on planned routes
  • Supervising and supporting a team of loaders
  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety and waste regulations
  • Completing all route paperwork and documentation accurately
  • Maintaining professional standards of customer service and driving
