We are currently recruiting HGV Class 2 Dustcart Drivers in Bedford for immediate start roles with a well-established waste management company. As an HGV Class 2 Dustcart Driver (Refuse Driver), you will be responsible for operating a dustcart vehicle on planned residential and commercial waste collection routes across Bedford and surrounding areas. This is a hands-on driving role where you will lead a team of loaders while ensuring collections are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Responsibilities:- Driving a Class 2 dustcart (refuse vehicle) on assigned routes
- Supervising and working alongside a team of loaders
- Completing daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety and waste regulations
- Assisting with bin collections when required
- Completing all route paperwork and documentation
- Providing a reliable and professional waste collection service
- £17.00 per hour (accrue holiday)
- £19.05 inclusive holiday pay
- Weekly pay
- Full-time, ongoing work
- Monday to Friday shifts
- Opportunity for temp-to-perm positions
- Consistent early start, early finish shifts
