We are seeking an enthusiastic, team‑orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Blackness Veterinary Surgery on a full‑time basis. Blackness Veterinary Surgery is situated in the Heart of Dundee. The practice is a large newly renovated building with various facilities including 2 operating theatres, with piped oxygen, an imaging suite with X‑ray and top‑of‑the‑range Ultrasound, dental suite with Dental X‑ray facilities, an endoscopy unit, in‑house lab equipment, and a large training room, where we host regular lunch and learns / team meetings.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first‑opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. This full‑time, permanent role consists of 37.5 hours per week across 4 days, with 1 in 6 Saturdays (paid in lieu).

General responsibilities include:

  • Carry out nurse consultations
  • Theatre work
  • Assisting with radiographs and laparoscopic procedures
  • Schedule 3 procedures
  • Lab diagnostics
  • Inpatient care
  • Assisting with client queries
