Immediate start available for an experienced Vehicle Motor Mechanic in an extremely busy family-run garage based in Mawdesley, Lancashire which has been serving the local community for 30+ years. Candidates must have at least 5+ years experience, and preferably NVQ qualified (but not essential). This garage offers the chance to work on a wide variety of jobs involving some very interesting vehicles and operate autonomously to run the workshop including ordering parts and scheduling tasks. If you are ready to step up and take on more responsibility or already have lots of relevant experience then this garage will be the opportunity to apply and develop your mechanical knowledge in a great setting!
Duties include:
> Diagnosis of vehicle faults
> Servicing of vehicles and motorbikes
> Repairs to a wide-range of vehicles including more complex procedures such as clutches, engine faults, timing belts, oil leaks, performance problems etc.
>Tyres - ability to change tyres using associated tyre equipment (training will be given)
Must be very reliable, physically fit and looking for someone who wants to carve out a career within this great garage, due to location, candidates MUST drive and own a car. You will be joining an experienced team and a friendly, rewarding environment.
Seeking to fill this position soon with right candidate as business is very busy, will arrange interviews quickly for right fit, initially a telephone interview (flexible times during the day and early evening) and second stage will be face-to-face at the garage with the owner (safety procedures will be in force) who prefers to conduct all interviews after 6pm in the evening or Saturday lunchtime as a quieter environment - so kindly asking for flexibility.
Competitive basic salary rate depending on experience and one month trial period applies. Optional overtime and potential bonus available to further boost monthly income.
