Blacklock is seeking a highly motivated Recruitment Consultant. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and placing top-tier investment banking professionals with prestigious clients in the financial services industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, the ability to develop a robust network within the industry, and a passion for delivering exceptional service to both clients and candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with investment banking clients, ranging from boutique firms to multinational banks.
  • Understand client requirements, including job specifications, candidate profiles, and organizational culture.
  • Provide expert advice on market trends, salary benchmarking, and talent acquisition strategies.
  • Manage the recruitment process end-to-end, ensuring timely delivery and satisfaction.

Candidate Sourcing & Placement:

  • Identify and engage high-quality candidates with experience in investment banking (e.g., M&A, equity research, trading, asset management, and corporate finance).
  • Present shortlisted candidates to clients, acting as a trusted advisor in guiding both parties through the interview and offer process.
  • Negotiate terms of employment and facilitate the placement process, ensuring a smooth transition for both clients and candidates.

Market Research & Networking:

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and emerging talent in the investment banking sector.
  • Attend networking events, conferences, and industry meetups to expand your network and identify top talent.
  • Leverage social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn) to proactively source candidates.

Recruitment Strategy & Growth:

  • Contribute to the development of recruitment strategies for key clients.
  • Assist in managing and growing a portfolio of clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Work with senior consultants to develop strategies for attracting top investment banking talent.

Reporting & Administration:

  • Maintain accurate records of candidates, clients, and placements using CRM systems.
  • Provide regular progress updates to management on client engagements and candidate pipelines.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 years experience in recruitment, preferably within the financial services or investment banking sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully placing candidates into permanent positions.
  • Knowledge of the recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation.

Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with senior-level clients and candidates.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using recruitment tools, job boards, and CRM systems (e.g. LinkedIn Recruiter).

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
